Celebrity Disc Jockey, Ifeoluwa Otedola a.k.a DJ Cuppy, has announced her plans to award scholarships to ten indigent students to study in the University in 2018. DJ Cuppy, who is one of Africa’s most celebrated DJs, made the announcement on her twitter page @ cuppymusic. She stated: “I plan to send 10 people to university this year and I’m so proud to say I have completed with my first student! Akeem Owolabi is off to Unilag! #Blessed.” Cuppy who is also a music producer is the daughter of Nigerian business magnate Femi Otedola and sister of travel vlogger, Temi Otedola. YouTube is preparing to come down hard on rogue creators as the company has since responded by coming up with ways to deal with the problem in the future. Recently in a blog post penned by YouTube’s CEO Susan Wojcicki, suggested harsher punishments could be part of the platform’s plan to hopefully discourage such creators and content in the future. According to Wojcicki, “we’re also currently developing policies that would lead to consequences if a creator does something egregious that causes significant harm to our community as a whole. While these instances are rare, they can damage the reputation and revenue of your fellow creators, so we want to make sure we have policies in place that allow us to respond appropriately.” The post also talks about YouTube’s plan for 2018, which includes help people find more ways to engage with videos, and also to deal with handling demonetization and appeals, which YouTube admits could be more efficient.

The Executive Vice Chairman, NCC, Prof. Umar Danbatta, said this on Thursday in Lagos at a “Stakeholders Forum for the Cost-Based Study for the Determination of Mobile Voice Termination Rate for the Telecommunications Industry.” Termination rate or interconnection rate is the amount or fee which one telecommunications operator charges another for connecting and terminating call(s) on its network.
